CRICKET JOBS: International Teams Administrator - ECB (UK)

Role Context / Organisation Structure:
The International Teams Administrator comes under the direct line management of the Manager – International Teams Administration and is accountable to her for the performance of his / her tasks.  In fulfilling his / her role effectively, the International Teams Administrator must work closely with the England Men’s Team Management and Players, as well as other members of the England Cricket Department.

Facts and Figures:
Reporting to the Director – England Cricket Operations, the International Teams Administration Department is currently made up of three members of staff – the Manager – International Teams Administration and two International Teams Administrators.  The Department is responsible for all administration and logistics in relation to the England Men’s Team at home and on tour, as well as Men’s touring teams in England.
 
Key Working Relationships:
 

  •     Manager – International Teams Administration
  •     Director – England Cricket Operations
  •     International Teams Administrator
  •     England Men’s Team Management, Selectors, Players and other members of ECB Staff
  •     All England Squad Programme managers
  •     All ECB departments but particularly the NCPC and Commercial Department
  •     With external suppliers, sponsors and partners
  •     With the ICC and International Cricket Boards
  •     With county cricket clubs and host venues


 
Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities: – Job-specific
 
England Team Administration
The ITA is required to ensure:
 

  •     The timely procurement of entry visas for all senior international tours
  •     Pre/post tour travel for players and management to and from airports
  •     Arrange internal kit movements and vehicle provision as well as booking international shipping of team kit and equipment to and from overseas tours


 
ICC Global Event Administration
Working in close consultation with the Director – England Cricket Operations, the ITA plays a key administrative role in the England Men’s Team’s participation in ICC Global Events. This includes:
 

  •     Detailed communication with ICC travel coordinator on squad flights and logistics
  •     Submission of Squad Terms, and player documentation
  •     Preparing and communicating a detailed travel and logistics schedule


 
Incoming Tour Support
The ITA offers detailed administrative support to incoming senior tours and ‘A’ tours. This includes:
 

  •     Liaison with opposition cricket boards, management staff, host venues and the ECB appointed liaison officer.
  •     Production of a Memorandum of Understanding between ECB and visiting ‘A’ Teams
  •     Arranging the provision of visiting team transport, hire vehicles and luggage vehicles as well as additional kit logistics where necessary.

Team Apparel Supply
The ITA plays a key role in all stages of the apparel supply cycle from initial design concepts through to order placement and ultimate delivery to over 250 players and support staff. This involves:
 

  •     Maintaining regular and efficient communications with apparel suppliers
  •     Preparing the annual ECB kit order for all ECB teams
  •     Liaising closely with ECB programme managers to ensure appropriate kit supply.
  •     Planning and delivery of kit drops to all England Squads
  •     Monitoring stock levels.
  •     Coordinating footwear, eyewear and luggage provision
  •     Recording player sizes, squad and appearance numbers.
  •     Reacting to ad hoc kit provision where necessary


 
Formalwear Supply
The ITA is required to ensure that all players and management are fitted and supplied with England team suits each season and that all players have the requisite team clothing at all times.
 
Additional Product Procurement
The ITA is required to procure a range of additional team items including cricket balls, practice equipment, caps, suitcases, helmets and Test Match cricket caps.
 
Database Management
The ITA is required to maintain and update ECB records for members of England programmes.
 
Setting and monitoring relevant budgets
The ITA provides input to the budget setting process for the budget lines relevant to the role and helps monitor these budget lines through the course of the year.  The ITA is required to ensure cost-effective administration through all his / her duties.
