Cricket is one of the two most successful Scottish team sports on the world stage (men’s, women’s and age group national teams having appeared at four global tournaments in the past year) and one of the sports with the highest participation numbers in the country. Cricket in Scotland has a long tradition, having been played for over 150 years.
