Closing date: 20th February 2016

Location: Maidstone, Kent

Hours: Full Time (8 months per year or 12 months for the right candidate, able to add value in the winter months)

The Mote CC is steeped in cricketing history and is one of the finest cricket grounds in the South East of England.

The Mote has had a rich heritage of hosting first class cricket and overlooks the scenic North Downs at its location based in central Kent, in the heart of Maidstone town centre.

The club is at an exciting juncture, with a clear vision to have the best club cricketing facilities in the South East.

A new opportunity has arisen for the role of head groundsperson with The Mote Cricket Club.

The successful candidate will already be a highly experienced groundsperson with more than five years equivalent experience ideally. The role may be structured in different ways to suit the right candidate.

During the summer months, it will be full time, as well as additional hours as required; however during the winter months it may remain full time for the right candidate, able to continue to add value for the Club in different ways, or be classes as a summer (8 months) only position.

This will be discussed with the right candidate.

The role holder will work closely with and under the direction of, the Head of Ground (a volunteer position on the club’s main Committee), in the day-to-day management, supervision, maintenance and security of the Mote CC sports grounds.

They will be fully responsible for the preparation of sports surfaces to the highest possible standard, to ensure that all the grassed and landscaped areas, the cricket pitches, car parking and changing room facilities are well maintained, tidy and safe to use and to assist with the maintenance and safe storage of all machines and equipment.

Please submit a CV and covering letter to motechairman@gmail.com. Deadline is 5pm on Saturday 20 February
