CRICKET JOBS: Game Development Officer - South Australia CA (Aus)

The South Australian Cricket Association is one of the state's leading sporting organisations with an international reputation for excellence in the promotion of the game of cricket. The Association is now welcoming applications for the position of Game Development Officer.

There are two positions available. One to service clubs and associations in the South/East metropolitan region, and the other to service the North/West metropolitan region.

Reporting directly to the Regional Cricket Manager, the Game Development Officer is accountable for assisting with the implementation of programs which facilitate participation growth and increased awareness within a designated South Australian cricket region with a specific focus on clubs and associations.

This includes driving all junior development programs and providing clubs and association support in developing a structure and environment in which cricketers can compete and progress to their highest level. The role will attend association meetings and maintain ongoing contact with clubs and associations throughout the year. The Officer will also be required to assist in delivery of targeted diversity and pathway programs in their assigned region.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  •     Proven ability in sales and customer service
  •     Ability to manage high workloads and meet deadlines within specific time frames
  •     Enthusiasm and passion for the sport of cricket and a commitment to see the sport develop and improve
  •     The ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  •     Ability to work to and report on budgets
  •     Understanding of a sports administration structure, at a club, association or State level (including indoor cricket)
  •     Ability to identify talented players at all levels
  •     Be familiar with the workings and issues affecting the cricket community
  •     Level 2 cricket coaching qualifications preferable (or demonstrated ability to attain)
  •     Data analysis experience
  • Relevant education/vocational qualifications are an advantage.
