CRICKET JOBS: Directors - Norfolk CB (UK)
Closing date: 7th December 2014
The Norfolk Cricket Board exists to inspire, lead and influence the growth, quality and accessibility of cricket in the county. As such, we are responsible for a range of activities aimed at developing cricket in Norfolk: running County Age Group teams, training new coaches and umpires, introducing cricket into schools and so on. We also have oversight of recreational cricket generally in Norfolk.
We are also set up as a limited company with a Board of Directors responsible for overseeing our day to day activities, setting our objectives and priorities and a budget, and generally ensuring the Cricket Board is properly run. We meet 4 times a year as a Board of Directors and there are other meetings from time to time. We also expect each Director to take the lead in at least one of our many activities.
We currently have vacancies on the Board of Directors which we are keen to fill with people who
- Can demonstrate an ability to assist in leading an organisation such as ours
- Have a clear understanding of the role of the directors of a not for profit company
- Are interested in cricket and developing the game in Norfolk
- Understand the challenges currently facing recreational cricket and want to be part of meeting them
We are particularly keen to recruit people who have the skills or experience and willingness to take the lead in the areas of human resources, marketing and finance. However, anyone who has the attributes listed above will be considered.
If you are interested in joining the Board as a director please email me at kandlhounsome@btinternet.com attaching a short CV and explaining how you meet the attributes listed above. The deadline for receiving expressions of interest is 7th December 2014. Please also ring me on 01603-452550 if you would like to discuss the role before emailing me.
Keir Hounsome
