WCBL Cricket Development Officer (Secondary Schools, Women & Girls)
35 hours per week - Salary: £18,000 to £20,000 plus expenses
Worcestershire Cricket Board Limited (WCBL) wishes to appoint a Cricket Development Officer to support the implementation of its Strategic Plan ‘Champion Clubs’. This post will be financially supported by the Cricket Foundation, through the Chance to Shine programme.
The WCBL seeks to employ a highly motivated and competent Development Officer to support and work within the Development team. The role will promote and organise cricket within Secondary Schools as well as Women and Girls cricket.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in women and girls cricket/sports coaching and working with secondary schools and various partners, developing core sporting activities and increasing the number of children taking an interest in cricket.
You will need to be passionate about and committed to secondary school, women and girls cricket at a local level and for this role, it would be an advantage if you have experience of cricket/sports development at grassroots level coupled with a sound knowledge, appreciation and understanding of the game.
Candidates must demonstrate both team working skills and the ability to work unsupervised using their own initiative. You will be a self-starter with energy and enthusiasm together with good administration and organisational skills. Equally you will be an excellent communicator with a passion for the development of cricket/sport.
