Cricket NSW invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the role(s) of Cricket NSW Assistant Coach and Pathway Coach (Male). Based out of the Cricket NSW office in Moore Park (SCG) and reporting to the Head Coach NSW Blues, the primary objectives of the positions available are to:
- Assist in the preparation of the NSW Blues under the direction of the Head Coach
- Assist in the preparation of one of the Sydney BBL teams under the direction of the Head Coach
- Drive excellence in team and individual preparation and performance in the NSW male pathway, which includes the NSW 2nd XI, the NSW Under 19 and/or 17 teams, High Performing Sydney Grade cricketers, Country cricketers and Cricket NSW Academy squads.
- In combination with key internal stakeholders ensure program continuity and philosophical alignment between the youth player pathway and elite senior programs, squads and teams.
- Thereby assist Cricket NSW achieve its strategic priorities of being the No1 Producer of talent in Australian cricket and dominating interstate cricket.
Effective leadership, management and interpersonal skills will allow you to build strong stakeholder relationships and your demonstrated ability to formulate high performing Cricket training programs and squad preparations will ensure team and individual success.
To be considered for this position you will have demonstrated experience and success in:
- First Class and/or high performance cricket coaching
- Strategic planning in a cricketing context
- Team preparation
- Budget development and monitoring
The successful applicant will hold Cricket Australia Level 3 Coaching Certificate (or international equivalent) and will have strong computer literacy skills, including MS Office, databases and performance analysis software.
Significant weekend and after hours work, as well as interstate travel, are requirements of this position. Cricket NSW will hire 2-3 people depending on the skill mix and time availability of the candidates.
