JOBS: Analyst - Derbyshire CCC

Closing date: ASAP

Following the appointment of Graeme Welch as Elite Performance Director (EPD), the Club is now seeking Expressions of Interest from highly-motivated and skilled Performance Analysts looking to join an ambitious first-class county cricket club at an exciting time.

Reporting to the EPD, and working closely with the Elite Performance Coaches (EPC), the Elite Cricket Performance Analyst (ECPA) will be responsible for collecting, managing and analysing team and player performance data to improve decision making across our cricket operations. Using video footage, player profile data and state-of the-art performance technology and in liaison with the ECB Performance Analysis Department, the ECPA will work throughout the Elite Performance Pathway from junior set-up - in partnership with the Derbyshire Cricket Board - through the Academy to First team.

Applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to understand and analyse statistical data and be able to present any feedback in a clear, concise and understandable form to coaching staff and players. It is likely that the successful candidate will be qualified in Sports Science/ Performance Analysis to degree level or above and committed to an on-going programme of professional development.

Strong IT skill levels are expected, including experience operating a range of performance analysis systems and managing large quantities of statistical data. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other software programmes such as Microsoft Access is essential, along with presentation software programmes such as Microsoft Power Point or Keynote.

A strong knowledge and understanding of County Cricket is also important to the role and a formal cricket coaching qualification - ECB level 2 or above - is preferable since the ECPA will assist the EPD and EPCs with coaching duties.

It is intended that the recruitment process for the Elite Cricket Performance Analyst will be completed by the end of January 2014.

Interested candidates should email an Expression of Interest providing the details outlined below to Kerry Schofield, HR Manager at Derbyshire County Cricket Club on kerry.schofield@derbyshireccc.com
