Coaching Philosophy
 

The most important thing for any young player is getting the basics right.  If you have a technical flaw in your bowling action and it is not rectified early in your career it has the potential of hampering your natural talent from blooming into something special, and you will be a frustrated person knowing that you could have achieved so much more. Once your bowling action is technically correct you need to groove this action so that it does not buckle under pressure.  The emphasis is therefore on practice routines that will serve this very purpose.

Qualifications and Experience
 

The coaching team are a combination of leg spinners and off spinners who have all played first league cricket over a period of decades and who are actively involved in spin bowling coaching in Cape Town, South Africa. 
 

The formal coaching qualifications they hold are those that are affiliated to Cricket South Africa ranging from Level 2 -4. 
 

Current Projects
 

Community based free coaching every Friday afternoon.  Associations with Schools.  Formal paid for coaching sessions.

The group and personal coaching sessions have proved to bear fruits in the fledgling careers of many young players.  The website spininfo.co.za is a portal through which players from throughout the world can post video clips of their actions.  These clips are analyzed and an in-depth reply to the player is then posted on the site.  In this way we provide an opportunity for players from remote areas to get input regarding their bowling actions.
