Job Overview:
- provide a proactive, professional, and accessible HR Service to around 100 staff members making people feel great about their place of work
- support a culture that stretches and challenges employees to deliver what’s expected on time and remain engaged to go that extra mile
- focus on the activities that allows the Club to become the Employer of choice.
Main Duties:
- provides timely and accurate HR advice when requested ensuring risks are minimised and processes are followed
- support identified recruitment activity including producing job adverts, shortlisting, and organising and conducting interviews
- produce accurate and timely minutes of meetings including case management meetings
- update and maintain the HR section of the Extranet
- ensure that the Easipay plus system is set up for everyone and that everyone is using the system correctly
- create reports as required to understand labour trends and analysis
- answer the telephone, deal with telephone enquiries and take messages in a polite and professional manner
- organise meetings as required
- maintain up to date personnel records for all employees, both electronically and manually. This will include all contracts, terms and conditions, general personal correspondence etc
- carryout a regular audit of all HR documents and processes to ensure compliance at all times
- ensure all statutory and Club personnel practices are fully accepted, understood and implemented
- undertake adhoc projects as required
- contribute to and support development of the HR support function
- carry out other duties and responsibilities of a similar nature to those described above, which may be allocated from time to time.
The Person
The successful candidate will have the following experience / skills / qualities:
Essential:
- CIPD qualified
- experience in similar role
- can work alone when required
- great communicator and connector with people
- deals with personal data and information in a highly professional manner and within the boundaries of relevant legislation, such as the Data Protection Act
- excellent organisation and planning skills
- able to make people feel at ease, relaxed and good about their place of work
- can make good judgement calls based on the facts presented
- accurate and has attention to detail. Can spot the mistake under pressure!
- experience of effective recruitment and selection campaigns
- good understanding of personnel processes and employment law
- good computer literacy, including MS office
Desirable:
- worked in a Sports Club or Events organisation
- experience of updating a Company web page
- experience of Easipay plus
- commitment to a continual professional development programme and the HR Profession Map
